Friday is the “12 Weeks of Christmas Cookies” post Day!
Can you believe that is just 9 weeks? Ok, there are 10 weeks, because the Challenge ends at december 17th, a week from Christmas. Whatever, how time flew this year!!! I have to tell that I’m breathing Christmas since June, when I started to think about the Delikaten’s Christmas collection, that is already done, and next week it’ll be on line!

My first recipe is Crunchy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. Maybe it isn’t a Christmas Traditional recipe, it has been a long time that I was wondering to bake it! And besides I'm more a chewy cookie person, these cookies are so yummy that I ate them all!

The recipe I’ve found here.

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375ºF (175ºC).
Line a cookie sheet or two with parchment. (I didn't use)
Cream butter and sugars until creamy, then add egg and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Add Peanut butter and continue to beat until combined.
Add flour, baking powder and salt and stir to combine.
Add chips and stir again.
Drop small spoonfuls of dough onto parchment.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until just golden.

Enjoy!

Peanut butter cookies are a great cookie for anytime and are always a classic on any Christmas goodie tray. Besides, I certainly could never resist the peanut butter-chocolate combo.

Thank you for visiting my site! Since I am Korean, I did not grow up eating lots of sweets so I am ashamed to say I do not eat dessert first, that is why I am not-so-good baker! :( So glad to find your blog, Manu! Look forward to getting to know you better through your blog!

Lisa, Megan and Sue! Thank you! I think I'm creating a new tradition in my family! We've never ate p.b. choc chip cookies on Christmas, but this year we'll certainly have a lot!
